Kilkennys firsts team started their Leinster League Division 1A campaign off to a start with a loss to Monkstown.
It finished up 22 – 13.

The seconds team were beaten 48-0.
Tullow were beaten at home on the opening day of their new Leinster League Division 1B campaign to new boys North Kildare on a final score 34-20.

Carlow started life in Division 2A of the Leinster League with a single try loss to Portarlington away 30-25.
The Normans team from Thomastown beat Barnhall 36-0 in the Metro League
Meanwhile the Carlow Coyotes won 10-5 against New Ross.
The Kilkenny women’s rugby come away with a 49 to 5 win against Arklow.
