Gardaí renew appeal for information in murder of woman found in Piltown in 2004

Gardaí investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found in South Kilkenny 11 years ago say their suspect list is “fairly focused”.

On the 23rd of July 2004, Paiche Onyemaechi’s body was discovered near Brenar Bridge, Piltown – 13 days after she had first been reported missing from her Waterford home.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information on the murder of the 25-year-old.

Speaking to KCLR, Thomastown Sergeant and lead-investigator, Matt Filan says her two children want to know what happened to their mother.
