Carlow student Nurse hopes jobs will be available still for 2016 graduates

The prospect of not being able to get a job as a nurse in Ireland is worrying.

That’s according to a Carlow student nurse who welcomes reports that this year’s graduates may be offered full-time jobs in Ireland but says its of little comfort to her as she doesn’t graduate until 2016.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has welcomed the move – but warned that it may not go far enough.

Speaking to KCLR News, Caoimhe McCreanor says she still hopes the situation for nurses will have improved by the time she graduates.
