Man in critical condition after being hit by a car in Castlecomer

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Castlecomer in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It happened at around 3.30am on the Kilkenny Road in the town

A 28 year old man was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where he remains in a critical condition.

Gardai examined the scene and say investigations are ongoing – they are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
