The annual trip to Belarus by the Kilkenny Chernobyl Outreach project has been delayed slightly to coincide with the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster in 2016.
It will be 30 years next April and to mark the anniversary the local group has put off its usual October trip to get ready for a large scale aid run.
The now annual ‘Nappy Appeal’ is underway ahead of that journey and organiser Jim Kavanagh says people are always so generous.
