A local councillor is calling on the Health Minister to honour a commitment of money for a respite centre in Carlow Town.
Funding of 360 thousand euro was pledged for the building of the Tír na nÓg Centre last year but to date nothing has been given.
The four-bed bungalow currently in use, caters for up to forty children with disabilities between the ages of 2 and 18.
Councillor Jennifer Murnane O’Connor told KCLR news they badly need this new facility.
