READ – Carlow and Kilkennys O Byrne Cup and Walsh Cup fixtures

The times, times and venues have been confirmed for the opening round of games in the O’Byrne Cup and Walsh Cup in early January.

The Carlow Footballers will begin their O’Byrne Cup campaign at home to Meath at 2pm in Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday 3rd January, while the hurlers themselves travel to Meath on the same day before hosting Carlow IT in Netwatch Cullen Park a week later on Sunday January 10th.

Meanwhile, the Kilkenny hurlers begin 2016 in the Walsh Cup at home to DIT on Wednesday 13th January at 7.30pm in a Kilkenny venue, before making the trip to Offaly four days later on Sunday 17th January with a 2pm throw-in.
