RUGBY – Mixed weekend for local clubs in League action

Kilkenny went down by 10 points to 7 on Saturday in the Leinster League Division 1A.

There was better news for Tullow as they were 37 points to 10 winners away to Kildare, while Carlows Division 2A clash with New Ross was postponed due to an unplayable pitch.

Elsewhere the Normans Rugby club recorded a 23-19 win over MU Barnhall in the metro league.
