Kilkenny, Carlow and the South East could become a “huge destination” for tourists looking for a walking holiday.
That’s according to South Kilkenny Councillor Tomás Breathnach who’s part of a local committee overseeing Infrastructure and Water Services amongst other things.
They’re looking for the Council to appeal to the Tourism Minister to realise the potential that local walkways such as the Barrow Blueway and New Ross Greenway have.
Councillor Breathnach told KCLR News today, they’re in the process of trying to form a joint network across Ireland.
