A Kilkenny project has received funding to enhance its waterways

A Kilkenny project has received nearly €24,000 in funding under the ‘Community Water Development Fund Open Call 2025’.

Nore Vision will partner with landowners and community groups to create wetlands, a nature-based solution to improve water health and support biodiversity across the county.

Mags Morrissey, Senior Community Water Officer with the Local Authority Waters Programme, noted that while much work remains, there are already some areas showing promise.

Ms Morrissey emphasized that collaboration is key to finding long-term solutions to improve water quality and protect local ecosystems.
