A man in his 40s has been injured in an alleged assault in Waterford.
The incident happened in the John Street area of the city yesterday evening at around half past seven.

The man was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
