Anger over a 3 hour wait for Gardai to attend road crash outside Carlow

A 3 hour wait for Gardai to arrive at a crash scene has sparked calls for the divisional boundaries to be looked at.
2 cars crashed last week just outside Carlow town on the Laois side of Graiguecullen.
Locals were left directing traffic because they were told by Carlow Garda Station that it would have to be Abbeyleix Gardaí who responded but with only one car already out on a call they couldn’t get there for hours.
Senator Murnane O’Connor says the drivers of the two vehicles were in complete shock and had to be looked after by locals.
And she says it’s just not good enough.
