Another member of McGuinness family considering running in Kilkenny local elections

It’s more than a year away but it seems we could have a potential Independent candidate declaring for Kilkenny in the next local elections.

Eugene McGuinness is no stranger to politics – he has run previously in the 2009 local elections as an Independent.

His father, Mick, was a former Mayor of Kilkenny and his brother is Dáil Deputy John McGuinness.

However, Eugene made it clear to KCLR Live earlier that he won’t be seeking advice from him.
