€50,000 worth of cocaine has been found in Kilkenny City.
Two cars were stopped at about 7.30 yesterday evening as part of ongoing investigations by the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
Two men in their 30s – one from Dublin and one from Kilkenny were arrested for drug trafficking offences.
Follow-up searches have since been carried out at addresses in Kilkenny and Dublin.
The two are currently in Kilkenny Garda Station, being held under Section 2 of the Drugs Trafficking Act.
