Attempts are being made to forge links between Kent State University and Kilkenny

It’s hoped links can be made between the Kent State University and Kilkenny city to make an ‘Irish Hub’ for education.

The news comes as a group from the University are in the marble city for a visit, exploring what Kilkenny has to offer.

They’ve already met with Kilkenny Tourism and the CEO of Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce, John Hurley.

Today, the group will meet with Susan Hurley of the Irish Craft Council.

Luda is one of the professors from Kent State, she told KCLR news that it’s beneficial for students to study abroad.
