A local man is starting out on an Epic run this Saturday morning.
Dara O’Brien from Graignamanagh is trying to set an official fastest known time for running the 120km Barrow Way.
He’s starting early in the morning at Robertstown in Kildare and following the old towpath along the banks of the River Barrow down through County Carlow ending in St Mullins.
He’s hoping to raise €5,000 in needed funding for two autism support organisations Saplings School in Goresbridge and the charity As-I-Am, he’s already reached nearly €4,000.
Dara says he’s a little nervous at the size of the challenge he’s set himself.
