Bobby Aylward calls for Taoiseach to explain money being spent on Strategic Communications Unit

The government has more staff in the Strategic Communications Unit than in their Brexit committee.

So says local Fianna Fáil TD, Bobby Aylward who’s calling for the Taoiseach and his General Secretary to appear before the Public Accounts Committee to answer questions about money spent on that unit.

The committee – which he is a member of – is meeting this morning and will hear Deputy Aylward’s calls.

Speaking to KCLR News, he says the public deserve to know why €5 million a year is being spent on the Communications Unit.
