Body of man found in Carlow town has now been identified

The body of a man found in Carlow last week has now been identified.

He was found at Cox’s Lane in the town last Tuesday night and an appeal for help in determining who he is was issued.

Gardai say they have now positively identified the man and have thanked the public and the media for their help.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is continuing as Gardai await the outcome of a post mortem examination.
