Preparations are continuing for the funeral of Martin McGuinness in Derry.
A vigil was held last night as his remains were brought home to the Bogside.
His funeral is due to take place tomorrow.
Locally books of condolence will open today in Kilkenny at the Town hall from midday and in Carlow, Bagenalstown and Tullow council offices from this morning.
Sinn Fein members in Carlow held a vigil at the local constituency office in the town last night and there’s another planned for tomorrow to honour his life and legacy.
Councillor John Cassin is one of the organisers. He says there’s also a book of condolences open at the local Sinn Fein office.
