Bus Éireann has announced they’ll no longer be operating the X7 route which stops in Callan and Kilkenny.
From the 12th of March, the Clonmel to Dublin service will be no more.
It was announced by the company this evening as one of a large number of cost-saving measures that their board says they had to make in order to keep going.
Trade Unions at Bus Éireann say an all-out strike will commence from next Monday.
Kilkenny Councillor Matt Doran says the X7 service picked up an average of 10 to 12 people in Callan everytime it passed through.
He’s told KCLR News that there are other places Bus Éireann could have made cuts.
