Calls for more funding for Carlow 1916 commemorations

A Carlow Councillor wants more money made available for local communities to celebrate 100 years since 1916.

A raft of applications for grant funding came in ahead of last weeks deadline but Councillor Denis Foley says they wont be able to facilitate them all with the budget allocated.
