A local campaign group says they’re now seeing “a glimmer of light” in the Camphill Ballytobin saga.
It remains uncertain when a new provider will be put in place after registration transferred from Camphill to the HSE a couple of months ago.
‘Standing with Ballytobin’ is a campaign group that was set up by some of those concerned about the facility’s future and who want the open atmosphere and ethos of Ballytobin to remain.
A meeting between them and Camphill Communities of Ireland took place yesterday and Councillor Malcolm Noonan, who’s involved with the group, told KCLR News Camphill were quite receptive.
He told KCLR News he feels Camphill may possibly continue to play some part in the facility into the future.
