Carlow and Kilkenny set to record the highest temperature’s in the country today

Carlow and Kilkenny could be the hottest area in country today.

That’s according to Carlow weather’s Alan O’Reilly.

A status yellow high temperature warning is currently in place until tomorrow (saturday)

Yesterday the Oak Park weather station in Carlow broke its September heat record as it measured an hourly value of 26.7 degrees.

Alan says the temperatures are very high for this time of year: ”We could see Carlow/Kilkenny reach highs of 30 degrees, which for this time of the year is crazy!”
