A Carlow Councillor has raised questions over a ‘progress report’ on social housing issued this week.
Minister Simon Coveney published information on the status of Social Housing projects right around the country.
The report listed details of 13 projects in Carlow, stating two of them had reached completion by the end of 2016 – one on Maryborough Street in Graiguecullen.
But Councillor Walter Lacey says he’s concerned over what seems to be inaccuracies in the report:
“If the rest of the country is to be replicated by the report on the Carlow situation, I certainly would take that report with a grain of salt. Maryborough Street was mentioned as five completions in 2016, but I can assure everyone now that unfortunately Maryborough street is far from completed.”
