Carlow Councillor wants significant milestone for the town celebrated before end of 2014

650 years ago Carlow was the medieval capital of Ireland and a local Councillor is adamant that the town should mark the significant milestone before the year is out.
Carlow hosted the exchequer between 1364 and 1394 effectively making them the capital during that time.
It was agreed before the town council was abolished that the occasion would be marked but Councillor Ann Ahern says the clock is ticking now towards the end of 2014.
