Another attempt will be made this year to get funding to complete a walking track along Borris viaduct.
There was a failed bid last year to get the money needed to put a safety rail along the track but local elected members were told last week that an application for funding from Failte Ireland this year has been made.
They’re looking for €185,000 and Councillor Willie Quinn is hopeful they’ll get it this time.
