Carlow is getting set to host a Zero Waste Festival this month.
The festival was first held in Dublin almost two years ago and it’s now going to be held at An Gairdín Beo in Carlow.
The two-day event will coincide with the Carlow Sustainability festival on April 14th and 15th.
Organisers say waste and litter in Carlow Town alone last year cost the council 350,000 euro.
Molly Aylsbury, a local woman behind the festival, says there is a lot to be learned in the town about waste management.
