A heroic Carlow girl has fallen victim to the collapse of the Low Cost Holidays company.
17-year-old Shauntelle Tynan who suffers from a rare form of cancer has had her accommodation cancelled for an upcoming holiday.
Shauntelle’s mother Leona has confirmed to KCLR news this evening that they were due to fly to Santa Ponsa on the 7th of August – but her accommodation has been cancelled due to the collapse of the company.
Their flights are still valid because they booked through an airline, but now they have no accommodation.
Carlow man Pat Dawson is head of the Irish Travel Agents Association, he told KCLR that a lot of people have been affected by the closure.
