Carlow mother and young family have just days to find a new home

The end of next week is the deadline a Carlow mother has been given to find a house before she and her family find themselves homeless.

Orla Brennan, her husband, and her two young children have been living in private rented accommodation in Carlow Town.

According to Orla, the landlord has decided to sell up and they now have just eight days to find alternative accommodation.

However her landlord has told KCLR that he has no plans to sell at the moment.

Orla says they haven’t been able to find anything at all that they can rent and landlords won’t accept the HAP scheme either.

She says she’s been trying to keep this from her children so that they don’t get upset.
