The local TD who heads up the Dáil’s Agriculture committee says they did have some positive dialogue with the Minister yesterday about the fodder crisis.
Minister Michael Creed was at a special meeting of the committee yesterday where he was accused of being totally unprepared and in denial in terms of his response to the crisis.
He told members that his department had been working hard to help farmers by importing fodder and extending deadlines.
Carlow TD Pat Deering chaired the meeting- he says there were some encouraging signs.
