Carlow Tourism rejects claims that Castle is becoming a target for illegal dumpers

The Secretary of Carlow Tidy Towns, John Boyd, has said recent reports that Carlow Castle has become a target for illegal dumpers is not true.

A visitor to the town was quoted recently in a local newspaper saying that it was “like a tip” and calling it a “disgrace”.

The claims were made as the Pan Celtic Festival was in full swing in Carlow Town.

However, John Boyd rejected those claims saying they were even praised for the cleanliness of the area.
