Carlow weather expert says warmer spell forecast may not be quite a heatwave

The weather is looking up for this week but a local forecaster says we might not get the heatwave that is being predicted.

Alan O Reilly of www.carlowweather.com says that technically the temperatures will need to be 5 degrees higher than average for 5 days to call it a heatwave.

But he says it is possible and things are definitely heating up with temperatures set to reach the 20’s by tomorrow.
