Carlow woman appeals for locals to help persuade HSE to fund cancer drug

A terminally ill Carlow woman is appealing to locals to help her convince the HSE to fund a drug to help her treatment.

Margaret Ready was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and has undergone a range of treatments in that time.

She told KCLR Live that TDM-1 is a drug that could make a significant difference for her, and others but its currently not funded by the Health Service.

Margaret says its difficult to accept.
