Months of hard training finally paid off yesterday for one Carlow woman.
Elaine Byrne was among the 2 thousand 500 triathletes that raced through Dublin city in the first Ironman race ever held in the capital.
Up to 10 thousand people also lined the streets to support the triathlon, which consisted of a swim, bike and run event starting in Dun Laoghaire and finishing in Phoenix Park.
Speaking to KCLR this morning, Elaine says it’s been an intense number of weeks.
