Castlecomer municipal district and Kilkenny County Council to select new chairs

A new Chair of the Castlecomer Municipal District will be selected later this morning at the district’s Annual General Meeting.

Councillors will gather to name the person who’ll take the reins from Cllr Mary Hilda Cavanagh to lead the grouping for the next 12months.

Meanwhile, a new Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council will also be announced later at County Hall.

They’ll replace outgoing Chair Cllr Michael McCarthy told KCLR News he’s enjoyed his term;
