A ceremonial ‘Changing of the Guard’ is to be conducted by members of the army from Kilkenny’s barracks

A ceremonial ‘Changing of the Guard’ is to be conducted in Dublin by members of the army from Kilkenny’s barracks.

It’ll take place at the National Memorial to Members of the Defence Forces in Merrion Square on Saturday the 19th of August.

This ceremony, conducted by the 3rd Infantry Battalion from James Stephens Barracks alongside members from the Training Centre in Kildare, will mark the end of a series of them that have been taking place this month.

The National Memorial was unveiled in 2008 and remembers those who died in the service of the state.
