Classes at the South East Technological University’s Waterford campus will resume this morning, following a cyber attack last week.
Yesterday’s lectures were cancelled after its IT systems were targeted on Friday.
Gardaí have said they’re working with officials at the region’s third level facility.
The University says they’re continuing to actively deal with the attack (statement below).
Students Union President at SETU, Mark Dunne, is warning some disruption may still arise, saying; “So students can resume their classes from today, Tuesday 5th of November, however they can expect some disruptions to services such as internet connectivity being an issue, not being able to access the internet or being able to print on campus as a result while we work through this but lectures will be going ahead as normal from today Tuesday the 5th of November as we work through this process”.
