Concerns are being raised once again about the lack of a footpath up to United Park in Thomastown.

Councillor Breda Gardner raised the issue at yesterday’s muincipal district meeting in Kilkenny.

There are concerns that a lot of people are walking along the Dublin Road in the dark with no hi-viz jackets.

Councillor Gardner says one local girl has even started a petition in Thomastown to have the pootpaths installed

And she says it has to be of paramount importance next year.
