New safety measures are to be put in at a dangerous crossroads in Carlow Town which has been the scene of many crashes over the years.
The council has passed a motion to build big ramps called tables, footpaths and install extra signage at the Browneshill crossroads in a bid to slow down traffic there.
Councillors were told at a meeting of the Municipal District yesterday that Traffic Lights would not be the right solution to the problems there.
