County Carlow Fire Brigade battles third series of blazes in 24 hours on Mount Leinster

Local fire crews were back on Mount Leinster again last night.

Bagenalstown Fire Brigade attended their third series of blazes in the County Carlow scenic spot in just 24 hours.

There were large smoke volumes in the Rathanna and Ballymurphy areas for a time.

Yesterday, warnings against lighting fires in upland areas were issued for a range of reasons.
