Vinters have been told that there will be no indoor hospitality until September if some kind of system isn’t worked out to allow fully vaccinated people to eat and drink inside.
Hospitality industry representatives have met with Government officials today.
The resumption of indoor service was expected to happen today but was postponed after NPHET warnings over the Delta Variant.
There was widespread criticism of the plans to ban the unvaccinated from indoor service but many bars and restaurants were forced to cancel outdoor bookings over the weekend due to bad weather which may have changed some minds.
Paris Texas owner Pat Crotty is a former VFI President – he says it seems that the issue is being treated very seriously by Govt with another meeting scheduled for Thursday.
Pat says a plan look likely to be agreed by the 19th of July.
