Carlow Councillor Denis Foley pays tribute to the late Joe McDonagh

Denis Foley has paid tribute to former GAA President Joe McDonagh who died on Friday.

The Bagenalstown Councillor has told KCLR news that he’s lost a friend, and the nation has lost a gentleman.

Mr McDonagh passed away on Friday following a short illness.

Councillor Foley worked with Joe on the Education and Training Board for many years.

And speaking to KCLR, Denis paid tribute to him and said he was a gentleman.
