Deputy John Paul Phelan hotly tipped for Minister position if Varadkar becomes Taoiseach

Deputy John Paul Phelan is playing down rumours that there is a cabinet seat with his name on it should Leo Varadkar become the next Taoiseach.

The Carlow Kilkenny Deputy is hotly tipped to get a Ministerial portfolio and admits he would be honoured if it does happen.

But he says its not something he’s discussed with Leo Varadkar.
