A meeting between Fine Gael Councillors in Kilkenny and the Planning Minister to discuss the Waterford boundary extension never happened last night.
Simon Coveney had been due to travel to meet members of his party in the city to hear their concerns about the recommendations from the boundary commission, but he had to cancel due to Dáil commitments.
Councillor Pat Dunphy told KCLR news this morning they were disappointed but remain hopeful of sitting down with the Minister soon.
He said its important they meet with him as “he is the Minister with the report on his desk” and “what happens next very much depends on him”.
