More disruption to train services today as Bus Eireann strike continues

Local train services are to be affected again today by the ongoing Bus Eireann dispute.

Irish Rail says ONLY the 6am train out of Waterford serving Thomastown Kilkenny, Bagenalstown and Carlow en route to Dublin ran this morning. All other services are cancelled including those travelling in the opposite direction out of Heuston.

Portlaoise services are also cancelled and there is very limited services on other lines.

Iarnród Eireann says it had no advance notice of todays interruptions

Rail workers are demonstrating solidarity with their Bus Éireann colleagues whose all-out strike over cuts has entered its eight day.
