Driver arrested and vehicle seized in Kilkenny

One person’s been arrested after failing a roadside drugs test in Kilkenny.

The motorist came to the attention of gardaí who witnessed him performing what’s been termed a “cheeky manoeuvre” on a road on the outskirts of the city earlier today.

When stopped, the driver tested positive for cannabis – further test results are due.

Added to that the vehicle lacked a certificate of road worthiness so it was seized and it also transpired that a bench warrant had been issued for the man.
