Efforts are underway to get an Interpretive Centre at burial site of Disney ancestors in Carlow
The Mayor of Carlow says they are applying for funding.

An application is to be lodged for funding for an interpretive centre for Tinryland.
In just the past week signposts have been put up directing people to the graveyard at Clonmelsh where the ancestors of the famous Walt Disney are buried.
Tinryland councillor and Carlow Mayor, Jim Deane says an application was submitted last year under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme but it wasn’t successful.
However, he says they were told by the Department to resubmit it this year with more information, which they have now done.
Mayor Deane says the huge historical significance of the site warrants having an interpretive centre.
He says they would hope it would become a new trail on the Carlow Emigrant trail.
