Investigation works are to start on making what can be a dangerous bridge in Tullow fit for pedestrians.
They’re looking to see whether or not pedestrian bridges can be put on both sides of the existing infrastructure, which will involve coring through the masonry with some excavation work as well.
These works will run from the 8th to the 14th of this month every night from 10pm until 6 the next morning.
Tullow Councillor and Cathaoirleach of the County Council, William Paton says there have been dangerous incidents there with a couple of ‘near-misses’ in the past.
He says there will be a shuttle traffic management system there while the works are ongoing.
And he told KCLR News that all this is at a very early stage, and no plans have even been drawn up yet.
