Two people were taken to hospital following a crash on the outskirts of Kilkenny city last evening.
A man aged in his twenties and a woman in her thirties were taken to St Lukes Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the three-vehicle incident on the Freshford Road at about 6pm.
Just before that emergency services responded to a collision on the M9 southbound at junction six Carlow.
It’s not yet known if anybody was injured in that incident.
Added to that Tullow’s fire crew were quick to react to calls to attend a blaze that had broken out at farmland.
