Emergency services are responding to a fire alarm at Bank of Ireland on Parliament Street in Kilkenny

2 units of the fire brigade were called to an active fire alarm at the Bank of Ireland on Parliament Street in Kilkenny city this afternoon.

Bank of Ireland confirmed that a member of staff discovered smoke coming from a computer and the building was vacated as a precautionary measure.

The bank has re-opened to customers this afternoon.
